MARY COOPER RITES FRIDAY AT OSAGE

Osage – Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Cooper, 85, will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at the Champion Funeral Home.

The Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer, St. Ansgar, and the Rev. Everett Pencook will officiate.
Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery.
Mrs. Cooper died Tuesday at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital.

Mary Elizabeth Duryea was born February 1877, the adopted daughter of James Duryea and Jane (Tweedie) Duryea. She married William Patrick Cooper, the son of John Cooper and Mary (Wayne) Cooper. (his parents from 1925 Iowa Census..middle name from 1930 census)

They lived on a farm near Little Cedar until 1908 when they moved to a farm near New Haven. In 1910 they purchased a farm in Burr Oak Township where they lived until two and a half years ago when they moved to Osage.

Surviving are five children: Stanley and Warren at home; Frank of Little Cedar; Howard and Mrs. Martin North of Osage .

Note* all these children were still alive at the time of her death
