Mrs Barbara Caufman, wife of John A Caufman, died at the home of her son Albert E Caufman, North Pitt street, at eight o'clock Wednesday evening, of nervous prostration, after several week's illness, aged 59 years. The deceased was a loving and faithful wife and mother, and was esteemed by a large circle of friends. She was born in Springville, and was the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Adam Gutshall. For many years she was an active worker in the St John's Lutheran Church of Boiling Springs, and since the family moved to Carlisle some years ago, she was connected with the First Lutheran Church. Besides her husband and son, she is survived by a brother Alvin S Gutshall, and sister, Miss Suzanne Gutshall, both of Boiling Springs. Funeral Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock; interment in the old graveyard.
