Alfred Henry Wahlen was born April 27, 1906 and died March 24, 1919. On account of the supposed contagious character of the malady, the influenza, of which he died, the funeral services were held in the open at the home Wednesday afternoon conducted by F. J. Sanborn. Burial was in the Edgar Cemetery. Little Alfred was a bright boy, always cheerful and never exacting. Although the lower part of his body was of little or no use to him he never complained and seemed contented with life. His parents will miss his every present smile which went with father and mother if they left the home and greeted them on their return. If those who knew the lad can judge the little soul will have no difficulty in gaining a place of honor in the Home Beyond.
