Patsy A. Bordeaux, 41, of Tayer Lane, passed away unexpectedly at Fletcher Allen Heath Care in Burlington on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000. Born in Montpelier on May 24, 1958, she was the daughter of Patricia (Herbert) Sweetser and the late Fred C. Sweetser. On Aug. 24, 1989, she married Glenn Bouchard in Stowe. Patsy attended Harwood Union High School in Duxbury. As a young woman, she worked at Walt's Mini-Mart and for auctioneer Walt Flatow in Waterbury Center. She later was employed as an aide at Stowe Elementary School and as a clerk at National Life Insurance in Montpelier, the Stowe IGA, and most recently at the Stowe Car Wash. Her memberships included the Harry N. Cutting American Legion Auxiliary Unit 59 and St. Andrew's Catholic Church, both of Waterbury. In her leisure time, she enjoyed vegetable gardening, traveling, and was particularly fond of animals. She is survived by her husband of Waterbury Center; her mother of Waterbury Center; two sons, James Bordeaux and Alexander Bordeaux, both of Waterbury Center; two sisters, Fawn Commo of Waterbury Center and April Lavery of Waterbury; a brother, Michael Sweetser of Colchester; and nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Waterbury on Monday at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in Hope Cemetery Vault pending spring interment. Friends may call at the Perkins-Parker Funeral Home in Waterbury on Sunday from 6-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Central Vermont Humane Society, P.O. Box 687, Montpelier 05601.
