LOUISE F. COLT SERVICES SATURDAY

Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 23, 1967 at Lewellen Funeral Home in Longmont, CO for Mrs. Ada Louise Fye Colt, 84, of near Lyons. She died Friday, September 22, 1967 at Longmont Hospital.

Mrs. Colt was born Feb. 9, 1883 in Cincinnati, OH, a daughter of the late Walter James and Ada L. Knott Fye. On April 26, 1905, at the home of Louise's parents in Cincinnati, there was a double wedding ceremony. Louise became the bride of Albert W. Colt, Jr, and Albert W. Colt, Sr married his third wife, Jennie Lowe, also of Cincinnati.

After their marriage, Louise and her husband made their home in Las Animas, CO, and in El Paso, Texas, before coming to Lyons in 1935. Mr. Colt, Jr was a partner in his father's engineering and contracting firm, W.A. Colt & Sons, which was responsible for the engineering of the Trail Ridge Road from Estes Park to Grand Lake. William Albert Colt, Jr died in El Paso, TX. Louise was also preceded in death by her parents, her son, 1 Lt. James Brundrett Colt, who died in World War II, and her brother, Fr Hart Brundrett Fye, who died in Italy in 1954.

Mrs. Colt was a member of the Episcopal Church, and was a member of P.E.O. in El Paso.

Survivors include two sons, William F. Colt of Worland, WY; David C. Colt of Bloomington, MN; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Colt Miller and her husband Arthur; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Edgar A. Thompson officiated at the funeral services and interment was in Mountain View Cemetery in Longmont.
