Ruth lived in Stratford, Conn. for many years and was a neighbor of
Marjorie Edgerton and they were good friends for years until Marge died in 1997.

These ladies saw "On Golden Pond" together and they cried all the way home and for the next two hours. These were two very Lovely Ladies.

Ruth retired from AT&T in 1982 in Bridgeport, Conn.

She move to Lyndonville, Vermont in 1983 where she met and became an 'adopted' member of the family of Cynthia Johnson and her husband.

Ruth never married.

Ruth was cremated and buried next to her only sibling, Mary (Marks) Day (1923-1974) and Mary's husband Frank W. Day (1913-1976), in Norwalk, Conn.

In the memorial to Marjorie, there is a picture of Marjorie. The picture (Marjorie sitting in the multi-color chair) was taken by Ruth in Vermont in 1994. It is a picture of a Beautiful Lady taken by a Beautiful Lady. It is a picture I will cherish ~always~. Thank you Dear 'Rufus', your friend, ~always~

Ruth was 78 years old.

Ruth was part of our 'Family'.

THE RAINBOW BRIDGE...

Just this side of heaven is a place called the "Rainbow Bridge". When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water, sunshine and toys, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. Those who were abused or mal-treated have had their tears wiped away, and sit for as long as they want on the Golden Flowing Robes of God's Lap. They feel the touch of Pure Love on their heads and finally know happiness. All the animals are happy and content, except for one small thing - they each miss someone very special, someone who was left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. Her bright eyes are intent and her eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly, she breaks from the group, flying over the green grass, faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into those trusting eyes, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart. Then you cross the "RAINBOW BRIDGE" together...
