LUCAS NEWS
Mrs. S. W. Voorhees died at her home in Lucas March 9th at 3:30 p.m. with consumption aged 33 years, 7 months and 29 days.
Miss Hattie Anderson was born on a farm in Bartholomew county, Indiana, July 10, 1870 and in 1878 her parents moved to Kearney, Neb., where she remained until her marriage to Mr. Voorhees on New Years day 1889. Shortly after the marriage they moved on a farm near Lucas known as the Skidmore farm and in 1896 moved to Lucas where she lived until her death.
Three children were born to them, one died in infancy and the other two are left with the father to mourn
