Lillian was the youngest daughter of Charles Bowlsby and Mellissa Jane Thompson. When Lillian was 12 yrs. old her mother died. She had 3 brothers; Charles Edwin, Willard Lucien and James Franklin, and 4 sisters; Ellen Selima, Mary Louisa. Juliette Josephine, Elizabeth Juliana. She married Will Tannahill on Dec. 31, 1878 in Butler, Nebraska. They had 3 children, Amy Arvilla, Lydia Luella and Glen Ray. The Tannahills came to California in 1928 where their two daughters were living in Los Angeles
