Pembroke - Mrs. Lillian Carter Bacon, 90, died Sunday at Evans Memorial Hospital in Claxton after a short illness. She was a member of Pembroke United Methodist Church and of the United Women's Missionary Society. She was a member of Pembroke Garden Club and a member and past worthy matron of Order of Eastern Star of Pembroke. She was a former representative for Savannah Morning News.
Surviving are her husband, Ulysses J. Bacon of Pembroke; a son, Ralph U. Bacon of Statesboro; three daughters, Mrs. Ivey Beardslee, Mrs. Aileen Harn and Mrs. Elise Bacon, all of Pembroke; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral: August 3 at Pembroke United Methodist Church, burial in Northside Cemetery. Morrison Funeral Home of Pembroke.
