He served in the U.S. Army in WWII and then went on to college. Ervin graduated from the Ohio State University with a degree in architecture. He designed and built his own home. Ervin was a member of First English Lutheran Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and woodworking. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Henry, Paul and Richard Brune.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2010 at the Diamond street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield conducted by Rev. Cloyd Kress. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Military graveside services will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery conducted by the Richland County Joint Veteran's Burial Detail.
