Hubert Jennings Bennett, Sr. age 82, of Hawkinsville died early Monday morning, November 24, 2008 at Taylor Regional Hospital. Mr. Bennett was a member of First Baptist Church. He farmed most of his life and had retired as bus shop foreman from the Pulaski County School system. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Dawson Bennett, sister, Francis Bennett Wright of Hawkinsville, and grandson, Matthew Hubert Bennett of Byron. Survivors include his three sons, Hubert Bennett, Jr. (Bridgette) of Byron, Tony Bennett (Debra) and Larry Bennett (Susan) of Hawkinsville; grandchildren; Christy Peterson (Chris), Emily Bennett, Kyle Bennett, Brian Bennett, Ashley Bennett and Chelsea Bennett; one great-grandson, Matthew Thomas Bennett, all of Hawkinsville and one sister, Elwanda Bennett Daniel of Hawkinsville.
