Thelma Joe Ausbie, 81, a homemaker, surrendered to her Heavenly Father's call on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. Service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, at Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Nehemian Davis officiating. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, in the chapel of historic Baker Funeral Home. She was born Dec. 23, 1928, in Ladonia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Murree and Zelma Brown, and a sister, Edith Laverne Ausbie. Survivors: Loving husband of 63 years, Stillaco; daughter, Merdis Benton; sons, Kenneth (Loretta) and Curmmie Ausbie; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
