Ruth was very active in civic affairs and the LDS Church. The DUP James Hendricks Camp and Relic Hall in Richmond and the Richmond Stake Relief Society held special places in her heart, and she devoted countless hours to both. Ruth was a friend to everyone she met and loved by many people.
She is survived by her three sons and one daughter: A. Brent (Cheryl) of Providence, Harold R. (Judy) of Lewiston, Douglas F. (Christy) of Richmond, Ruth Ann (Gary) Chambers of North Logan, 30 grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren, and three stepchildren and their families: Trudy (Alan) Boyack of St. George, Edward N. (Annette) Bailey of Gilbert, Ariz., and Barbara McBride of Salt Lake City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her brothers Don, Grant, Harold, Win and their wives.
Funeral services will be held in the Richmond 2nd Ward Chapel, 150 South 100 East on Monday, March 16, at noon with a viewing from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. that morning. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Allen Mortuary of North Logan, 420 East 1800 North. Burial will be in the Richmond City Cemetery.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Legacy House and Access Hospice for their kind and loving care.
Her hands were always busy and the Little Red Riding Hood cookie jar was always full! We love you Mom.
