BARLOW FUNERAL TUESDAY

Funeral services for Josephine Broadbent Barlow, 57, who died Friday of a heart attack at her home, will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Provo First Ward Chapel.

Mrs. Barlow was born Oct. 23, 1913, in Heber City, a daughter of Charles N. and Sarah Jane Wood Broadbent. She married Frank Barlow on Oct. 18, 1937, in the Salt Lake Temple. She received her early education in Heber City schools and attended Brigham Young University.

She had also attended LDS Business College in Salt Lake City. After Mr. Barlow entered the service, Mrs. Barlow returned to live in Heber City. Upon his discharge, they moved to Salt Lake City, and in 1945 moved to Provo where they had since resided.

Active in the LDS Church, Mrs. Barlow worked in genealogy and attended the temple often. She was a block teacher in the Relief Society for many years and served on the genealogy committee for her ward.

She also was a Cub Scout teacher and den mother and taught in the Eighth Ward YWMIA. Her hobbies were stamp and coin collecting and she enjoyed needlework and knitting.

Survivors include her husband of Provo; one daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Pamela) Clark, Seattle, Wash.; a foster daughter, Mrs. F. Eugene (Loise Marie) Beardall, Provo; foster son, Roy John Williams, Alpine; four grandchildren; four brothers and three sisters, Clyde Broadbent and Mrs. Mark (Alice) Fortie, Heber City; Roy Broadbent, Payson; Marden Broadbent and Mrs. Rulon (Jennie) Carlile, Provo; Raymond Broadbent, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Lowell (Norma) Smith, Ogden.
