Then he became a freight conductor on the Southern Railroad, originally out of Sinclair [St. Clair?] County - so maybe some of his family was there, but my siblings remember only Farmersburg [Sullivan County, Indiana]. Dad's run early-on was to Huntingburg, Indiana, where he met mother, Isabel Matilda Manetta Wagner...."
Bert and Isabel married in Evansville, Indiana, on June 19, 1910. They were parents of seven children: the six linked below, plus a son who is living.
Bert Hadfield passed away in Princeton, Indiana, July 20, 1964.
