Blanche Lucille Allen, 84, of 1104 E. Bailey Court, Peoria, formerly of Chillicothe, died at 4:55 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5, 1997, at her home.

Born Jan. 29, 1913, in Pocahontas, Ark., to George N. and Nellie Stratton Level, she married Joseph W. Allen on June 17, 1939, in Chillicothe. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Laurence of Normal and J. Michael of Peoria; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
