Emma Bernita Burr Morgan, 98, of Springville, Utah, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the home of her son in Spanish Fork, Utah.

She was born in Bybee, Idaho on May 15, 1912, to Perry A. and Hansenna Hansen Burr. She married Orval Arco Morgan in Susanville, California on September 15, 1933. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Arco preceded her in death on August 8, 1989.

Bernita graduated from Lincoln High School in Orem, Utah. After their marriage, she and Arco lived in California, Orem and finally settled in Springville, Utah.

She was a homemaker and a great mother. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she held many positions.

Bernita loved to sing and sang in the ward choir as well as in The Musettes. She was involved in DUP and enjoyed quilting. She made quilts for family, friends and for the LDS Humanitarian Services. She quilted for charity at the Provo State Hospital for many years.

She is survived by her children: Myron (Dixie) Morgan, of Provo, Dan (Carie) Morgan, of Mapleton, Ray (Kathy) Morgan, of Spanish Fork, and Brenda (Glen) Bradley, of Springville; 13 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Norma Noffsinger, of Salt Lake City; and a sister-in-law, Maxine Morgan, of Taylorsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Gerald Burr and 2 sisters: DeEsta Cunningham and Elese Travis.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Mapleton White Church, 31 West Maple, Mapleton, UT. A viewing will be held prior to the services, at the church, from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
