Mary Ellen Parker, 81, Robinson, died about 4:37 a.m. today, Friday, Nov. 15, 1996, at Crawford County Convalescent Center, Robinson.
Born Feb. 3, 1915, in Wetzel, she was the daughter of James Ruben Branson and Della Pearl Price Branson. She was in real estate sales in Crawford County for 15 years. She was a member of the Flat Rock United Methodist Church and a lay speaker in the United Methodist Church.
She married Isaac L. Parker on Aug. 20, 1932, who preceded her in death on July 10, 1981. Also preceding her in death were her parents; five brothers, Alonzo, Bruce, Chester, Troy, and Carlyle Branson; and a sister, Madge Mercer.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and Mervin Rich, Flat Rock, and Pat and Don Hoagland, Robinson; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Becky Parker, LaPlace, La.; seven grandchildren, Susan Droste, Robinson, Randy Rich, Robinson, Angie Elliott, Peoria, Andrea Prindable, Tulsa, Okla., Kimberly Reese and Kevin Parker, Birmingham, Ala., and Ryan Parker, Robinson; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Homer Branson, Branson Mo., Dane Branson, Ft. Myers, Fla., and Albert Branson, Ft. Myers, Fla.; three sisters, Leona Ford, Lawrenceville, Lena M. Brown, Lawrenceville, and Sarah Elizabeth McMullen, Holden, Mo.
The funeral is 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, at Goodwine Funeral Home, Flat Rock, with Dr. Jerry Ford and Rev. George Miller officiating. Burial is in Jones Cemetery, rural Flat Rock. Visitation is one hour preceding the service Monday.
