Akron Care Center after a long
illness.
Funeral services were held at 1:30
p.m. Saturday at the First Church of
Christ in Akron. Pasort Susan Miller
of the First Christian church, Sioux
City officiated. Soloist, Gary Tucker,
sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "No
More Night", accompanied by Carol
Harris, organist.
Pallbearers were Dennis Fletcher,
Bob Nordgren, Jeff Nordgren, Cam
Fletcher, Mark Nordgren, and Jason
Nordgren. Burial was in Riverside
cemetery in Akron, under the direction
of Schroeder funeral home,
Akron.
The former Lottie I. Beach was
born July 8, 1904, in Union county,
S.D., the daughter of Joseph and
Mary Elizabeth Taylor Beach. She
married Mark Coleman April 5,
1922. The couple moved to Sioux
City in 1942. She was a seamstress
for the JC Penny Co., for many
years.
Mr. Coleman died May 5, 1945.
She returned to Akron in August
1988.
Mrs. Coleman was a member of
First Christian Church in Sioux City
and Esther group and sewing circle
of the church.
Survivors include two daughters,
Mrs. Darcy (Joy) Fletcher of Akron
and Mrs. Robert (Jerrine) Nordgren
of Sioux City; four grandsons and ten
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her
parents; three brothers, Leo, John
and George; two sisters, Bertha and
Viva; a half-sister, Anna Harkness
and a half-brother, Andrew Tillotson.
