Josephine R. (Hansel) Handke, age 87, of Guttenberg, IA, died Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at Guttenberg Care Center.
She was born the daughter of Phillip and Lillian (Dingus) Hansel, February 7, 1923, in Elkport.
Josephine received her education locally and was a homemaker for many years.
On December 29, 1957, she was united in marriage with Raymond Handke at the United Methodist Church in Guttenberg.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond; two sons, Raymond (Bonnie) Handke Jr. and Bruce Handke of Guttenberg; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and twelve sisters and brothers.
Casket Bearers: Roland Hansel, Dean Boynton, Randy Hoeger, Kevin Hoeger, Ronnie Thein, Mike Handke, and Dick Duwe.
Funeral Service: 1:30 PM Thursday September 23, 2010 at Tuecke-Allyn, Guttenberg which provided arrangements and Funeral Card.
