Daniel was married twice, the first time to Hannah Marie Haight. They had 5 children. Hannah died in 1872, leaving Daniel with 5 children.
Dan then married Hariet Moorman (born 8-14-1848) on 7-4-1874. Hariet helped raise Dan's 5 children, and they had 5 more, 2 of whom died at an early age. Their home was on the corner of 8th Street and Quincy. Daniel died February 10, 1912.
