Connie was born June 6, 1966, in Cortland County, N.Y., a daughter of Joyce Thayer Pond Crandall and Floyd Robert Pond. She worked as produce manager at Wadesboro IGA.
Surviving are her husband, George W. "Skip" Bergman; her children, George Bergman III, Heidi (Jason) Zell, Ryan (Heather) Pierce and Rashel (Justin) Pierce, all of Wadesboro; grandchildren, Amber, Destinie, Jason Jr., Trinity and Alexis; her parents, Floyd "Bob" and Mary Pond of Lilesville and Joyce and Jerry Crandall of Branford, Fla.; her brothers and sisters, Bobby Pond of Branford, Fla., Steven Crandall and Bonnie Bosch, both of Charlotte, Maya Pond of Lilesville, and Christiana Pond and B.J. Pond, both of Ithaca, N.Y.
There will be visitation on Friday, December 11, 2009, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro.
