Armin Clemo
1925-2004
Armin N. Clemo, of Drain, died on March 12, 2004, of cancer-related causes. He was 78.
He was born on Aug. 4, 1925, in Elkton to William Arthur and Fannie Mae (Henderer) Clemo.
He married Carolyn Joy Nutt on Nov. 14, 1950, in Elkton. She died on Aug. 27, 2002.
He grew up and attended school in Elkton. After serving in both the Army and Air Force during World War II, he settled in Drain.
He was a logger and heavy equipment operator.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Elizabeth and Greg Will of Sherwood; two sons and daughters-in-law: Kevin and Jody Clemo of Hillsboro and Ron and Judi Clemo of Creswell; two sisters: Eileen Charon of Yoncalla and Lenore Huckins of Drain; a brother: Lyle Clemo of Boise, Idaho; seven grandchildren and one-great-grandchild.
Three brothers, Fred Clemo, Tom Clemo and Vern Clemo, as well as a sister, Kathleen Smith, died before him.
Visitation will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel.
A service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Drain United Methodist Church, followed by interment at 2 p.m. at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene.
