MRS. E. G. WELLER SUCCUMBS AT 82
Mrs. Leota B. Weller, 82, of 1615 Woodward av., died at 135 p.m. Wednesday in Community Hospital, following an extensive illness. She had been a resident of Springfield since 1917.
She was a member of the Central United Methodist Church and an active member of the Women's Society of Christian Service, and Sunday school classes of the church.
Born Sept. 27, 1885 in New Carlisle, she was the daughter of William L. and Jennie [Helvie] Bucher.
Survivors include her husband, Edgar G., a retired principal of Roosevelt Junior High School, who for many years taught in Springfield and Clark County schools; two sons, William F., a former principal of Hayward Junior High School and Merrill B., both of Springfield; a niece, Miss Betty Bucher; nine grand-children and two great-grandchildren.
Her body was taken to the Littleton Funeral Home for services at 3 p.m. Friday. Rev. Dr. Robert G. Scully, pastor of the Central United Methodist Church will officiate.
Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
