Hildred Blanche Robinson Abee, 69, of Morganton, passed away Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010, at her residence.
Born Feb. 1, 1941, in Burke County, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Brooks Robinson and Hazel Bonning Robinson. She was a member of Winklers Grove Baptist Church in Hickory.
She is survived by her husband, Charles A. Abee of the home; two sons, Allen "Shane" Abee of Morganton and Brooks Abee and his wife, Shawna, of Statesville; two brothers, Bill Robinson and his wife, Janie, of Valdese and Terrell Robinson and his wife, Linda, of Lincolnton; sister, Ruby Hoyle and her husband, Bill, of Valdese; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Leonard Robinson Jr., Donald Robinson, Glenn Robinson and David Evans; and a sister, Gertrude Stephens.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Winklers Grove Baptist Church in Hickory with the Revs. Dale Faulkenbury and Paul Deal officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Thursday at Winklers Grove Baptist Church prior to the service.
