Mrs. Martha Mann, age 81, passed away at her home here this morning at 12:30 after an illness of two weeks following a stroke of paralysis. Mrs. Mann was born in Ohio and was the daughter of Joseph and Rachael Nichols.
When the deceased was only four years old she came with her parents to this place where she has since lived. Five brothers preceded her in death. They were Oliver, John, Francis, Samuel and Cyrus. In 1861, she was united in marriage to John Mann and to this union four children were born. One died in infancy and those surviving are William and Lee at home and Mrs. Laura Linn of Indianapolis.
Funeral services will be held Thursday.
