Funeral rites for J. H. West were held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday from the home, 1507 West Division street (Grand Island), with a number of relatives and friends of the family present. John W. Knight, reader of the Latter Day Saints church of Denver, conducted the services. The floral tributes were numerous and lovely. Serving as pallbearers were the Messrs. A. L. Dunn, O.V. McCracken, Weeks, McCall, McMillen and Ritchey. Following the services the body, accompanied by the family and friends, was taken overland to Cotesfield, where services were held at the United Brethren church, Rev. Arnold, of Cotesfield, officiating. At the grave, the Masonic ritualistic work was conducted.
