COOKEVILLE -- Graveside services for Doyle C. Allen, 79, of Southfield, Mich., will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 4, at Smith Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends immediately follow the service at the cemetery.
Mr. Allen died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, at his home.
He was born November 18, 1930 in Crossville, TN to the late Comer McMillon and Maude Prilla Leffew Allen.
Mr. Allen is survived by his wife Dorothy Allen of Southfield, MI; two daughters and son-in-law, Brenda May, Mary & Tom Captain; two sons Eddie Allen and Joe Allen; step-sons Thomas (Joe) Garrick and Mathew (Jean) Garrick, step-daughters; Denise (Steve) Salo, Patricia (Cornelius) Collins, Melba Garrick, Dorothy (Leo) Cauzillo, Mary (Randy) Bloedow, Helen Pogarch, Margaret Garrick and Colleen (Scott) Thompson, 29 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Doyle C. Allen, age 79, August 29, 2010. Beloved husband of Dorothy. Dear father of Brenda (the late Carl) May, Mary (Tom) Captain, Eddie and Joe. Step-father of Thomas, Mathew, Denise, Patricia, Melba, Dorothy, Mary, Helen, Margaret and Colleen. Grandfather of 29. Great grandfather of 16.

Visitation Wednesday (September 1, 2010) 2-9pm with a 7pm Rosary at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home 1139 Inkster Rd. (between Ford and Cherry Hill). In state Thursday (September 2, 2010) 11am with an 11:30am Mass at St. Suzanne Catholic Church, 9357 Westwood (North of Joy, East of Evergreen).
