Wade Aycock Dies at 64
William Wade Aycock, Sr., retired farmer and ardent lover of horses, died at 5:30 pm, Wednesday, Jan. 6, at his home on route 3 Houston. He was 64.
Cause of death was attributed to a heart attack.
Funeral services were conducted from the Memorial Funeral Home chapel at 10 am, Friday, Jan. 8. The Rev. L P Jones officiated. Interment was in the Mixon Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Bill Colbert, Neal Colbert, Dale Anderson, Robert Corley, Alvis Corley and Douglas Corley.
Mr. Aycock was born in Chickasaw county Feb. 21, 1906 and had resided here all of his life. He was the son of John H Aycock and Leona Swan Aycock.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice Corley Aycock of Houston; a son, William Wade Aycock, Jr., of Houston; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Alice Harrington of Houston; two sisters, Mrs. John Spencer of Gulfport, and Mrs. Ralph Waddell of San Antonio, Tex. Four grandchildren also survive.
