Clara Bell was born September 18, 1928 and departed this life Sunday, February 20, 2011 reaching the age of 82. She was the daughter of the late Ephraim and Jalie Mae (Lair) Stringer.
She was united in marriage to Obie Bell and to this union 4 children were born.
She is survived by: 3 sons, Lynn (Sandy) Bell, Danny (Mary Ina) Bell, and Tracy () Bell; daughter-in-law, Mary (widow of Chaddy) Bell; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, Ephraim and Jalie Stringer, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Obie Bell; 1 son, Chadwick "Chaddy" Bell; 2 brothers, marshal and Luther Stringer; and 2 sisters, Lyda Parmley and Pauline Criswell; and 1 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 21, 2011 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 2 pm at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Cecil Stephenson officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.
