Mrs. Bremalane Fryman died
Mrs. Bremalane Fryman, 63, of Grayville, was dead on arrival at 1 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, 1985 at Carmi Township Hospital in Carmi.
Visitation was held this (Wednesday) evening at Nale's Funeral Home in Albion and the body will be taken to Owen Funeral Home in Louisville, Kentucky for services Thursday.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Laura Russell of Grayville; four sons, Larry of Allendale, Ronald of Albion, Michael of Springfield, and Richard of Moore, Oklahoma; a sister, Mrs. Lila Mae Brush of Orlando, Florida; a brother, Carroll Hill of Louisville, Kentucky; and five grandchildren.
Mrs. Fryman, a former resident of Albion, had retired after working for nine years at Meadowood Nursing Home in Grayville.
Born June 28, 1922 at Louisville, Kentucky, her parents were Mckinley and Roxy Wade Hill.

Occupation-office secretary for companies or firms (not known at this time) during World War II. Bremalane typed 70 w.p.m and took dictation at 70 w.p.m. (she could still type in her late 50s).

Occupation-Homemaker-mother of Michael James, Ronald Dean, Larry Wayne, Richard Lynn, and Laura Faye. Housekeeper and cook extraordinaire!

Occupation-owner-Fryman's General Store (a.k.a. Ellery General Store), Ellery, IL, January, 1960-June, 1964. She ran the store alone from 1/1960 to 8/1961 until her husband retired from the U.S. Army. She cleaned and stocked the shelves, swept and mopped the floors, washed the windows, purchased merchandise and supplies, prepared the taxes, etc. If someone came to the back door needing to purchase groceries when the store was closed, they were never turned away. Also included was the raising of four boys, housecleaning, food preparation, laundry, etc. Mary Jones Vanblaricum, the daughter of Charles and Florence Jones, came down to help with homemaking when the burden of the work load became almost impossible to bare. How she managed to do it all is amazing!

Member of: Baptist Church, Louisville, KY (baptized), PTA, and 4-H Club (founding leader of the Ellery Foxes, 1957- 1958, 1 year, awarded a gold leadership pin and wooden gavel).
