Edward W. Cook
Edward W. Cook of WHite Creek Road, North Bennington, Died at Putnam Memorial Hospital friday morning. He was born in Arlington, son of Delos and Loretta (Barrett) Cook.
His education was in Arlington Schools. He married the former Theresa Sweet in Cambridge, N.Y.
Mr. Cook was employed by the former A.S. Payne Co. in North Bennington for many years. Later he was employed at Bennington , where he retired. He was a member of Owekill Rod and Gun Club of Eagle Bridge, N.Y.
Survivors besides his wife are four daughters, Mrs. Augustine(Ruth) Brownell of North Bennington, Mrs. Francis(Isabelle) Moon of Bushik,N.Y., Mrs. Lawrence(Dorothy) LeBarron of Troy, N.Y., Mrs, Arthur(Ida) O'Dell of North Bennington; three sons, Forrest F, Cook of Greenwhich, N.Y., James A. Cook of North Bennington and Charles M. Cook of Troy, N.Y. 34 grandchildren, several great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lena Winchell of Chicopee Mass. Florence Pete, also of Chicopee; 5 brothers, Raymond Cook of Bennington , John of West Pawlet, Delso of Hudson Falls Lawrence Cook of Glens Falls,and Arthur Cook of Bennington, several nieces and nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be held at Maham & Son Funeral Home Monday at 2 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. Burial will be in the family lot in Hiusdillville Cemetary.
If friends desire , memorial contributions may be made to either the Bennington Resque Squad on to the Vermont Division, American Cancer Society, through the funeral home offices
