From The Palmer Journal, February 1, 1934, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney:

Donald Richard, small son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Albers, was born February 13, 1931 and died January 29th, 1934 at the St. Francis Hospital in Grand Island. Age 2 years, 11 months and 15 days.

He leaves to mourn his early departure, his parents, one sister Aileen, four grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Alberts, who live at their farm west of Palmer and Mr. and Mrs. Jake Tuma, who live at Elba, Nebraska, 12 aunts, 15 uncles, 11 cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Little Donald was a favorite among his several relatives and all the neighbors and friends who knew him. In spite of the best medical skill and loving care, he passed away after much suffering.

This family has the utmost sympathy from many neighbors and friends, for so untimely a death of this fine little son and brother. (Funeral details followed.)
