29 Apr 1932 Ventura Star np, p. 01:

"Myron Stearns, 71, died suddenly, at 9 am today of a heart attack on the porch of his home, 130 W. Ramona street. The Ventura department pulmotor, in charge of Capt. Ley and Officer Fitch, was used for a long period in an effort to revive him after his daughter, Mrs. Eddie Webb, had found him prostrate. Dr. G. C. Coffey, who was called at once, pronounced the man dead when he arrived. Mrs. Webb called her mother, who was in the kitchen of the house, and with the aid of Mr. Webb they carried Stearns to a bed. In addition to Mrs. Webb and his widow, he is survived by two sons, Lloyd and Arthur, both of Ventura. Deputy Sheriff Freeman Bliss and Chief of Police Billy Neel answered the emergency call on the case. Funeral arrangements, which have not been completed, are in charge of the J. E.
