Mrs. Mary Boyd Dies of complications
Complication of diseases with which she had suffered since December 1918 proved fatal to Mrs. Mary Margaret Boyd, 77 years old who expired Tuesday afternoon at her home, 403 North Jameson street. A native of Virginia, Mrs. Boyd came with her parents to Boone county in the fall of 1865 and with the exception of a brief residence in Hendricks county lived in this county since that time. She lived in this city for the past seven years. Her marriage to Archibald S. Boyd, who survives occurred in 1881 near Dover. Five children Cena Dale of near Lebanon, Alexander Boyd, Frank Boyd and Thomas Boyd of Indianapolis and Mary Gorham of Stilesville, IN; four step-children Susie Lawhead and Ura Gray of Wichita Kans (this newspaper account is not correct -- Ura Gray lived in Lebanon), Ellen Willis of Lebanon and George Boyd of Indianapolis, three brother C. B. McKinsey, and J. S. McKinsey both of Thorntown, IN and Jas A. McKinsey of Mechansburg, three sister, Lavena Moore of Mechansburg, Bettie Hill of Thorntown and Willie A. Miller of Whitestown; sixteen grandchildren, ten step grandchildren and fourteen step-great grandchildren, survive. Four children, four brothers and one sister are deceased.
Mrs. Boyd was a member of the First christian church of this city.
The funeral services will be conducted from the Brown's Wonder church Thursday morning at 10 o'clock, the Rev. W. P. McKinsey of this city officiating. Burial will be in the Brown's Wonder cemetery.
