Lois Mae Donoho, 86, of 512 Walnut Street, Varna, IL, died at 7 a.m. March 7, 2007, in her home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Varna United Methodist Church. Pastor Amy Holman will officiate. Burial will be at First Lutheran Cemetery # 2, rural Varna.
Visitation will be 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Friday in Varna Funeral Home, and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Saturday in the church.
Mrs. Donoho was born February 18, 1921, in rural Varna to Joseph and Selma (Larson) Nott. She married Lester Donoho on July 9, 1944, in Wenona, IL.
She was a homemaker and worked as a writer for the Varna News and Henry News Republican. She was a lifelong member of Varna United Methodist Church and was a Sunday school teacher for more than 50 years. She also was a member of the Women's Club at the church.
Survivors are one daughter, Sherrilyn Donoho of Varna; and cousins in Peoria.
She was preceded in deth by her husband on November 25, 1976, and one sister in infancy.
Memorials may be directed to Varna United Methodist Church or Varna Community Ambulance Service.
