BRENNER, GORDON JOHN -- Surrounded by family and friends Gordon peacefully passed away at Scripps Hospital in Chula Vista, CA. Born in Milwaukee, WI, Gordon joined the Navy in 1945 at the age of 17. A 28-year career saw him serve on minesweepers to aircraft carriers and took him to every ocean and continent. A second career as a civilian contract inspector kept him busy until his retirement. After "seeing and doing everything he wanted" he has left us to be with the love of his life, Mary, his wife of 39 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary in 1988. He is survived by his son Gary Brenner and wife Cristy of Mission Viejo, CA, son Larry Brenner and his wife Chriss of Chula Vista, CA, daughter Paula Rians of San Diego, CA, grandson Michael Brenner of San Diego, CA, granddaughter April Gonzalez of San Diego, CA, grandson John Rians and wife Shayna of San Diego, CA, grandson Glenn Rians and wife Samantha of Okinawa, Japan.

A viewing will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, August 15, 2010 in the Bonita Room at Glen Abbey Memorial Park, Bonita, CA. Services will be held at 1 p.m. in the Little Chapel of the Roses at Glen Abbey Memorial Park, Bonita, CA. Gordon will forever be in our thoughts and our hearts.
