Jessie E. (Ford) Heido, 98, of Largo, FL, a former Paxton resident, passed away Thursday afternoon, July 1, 2010 in Largo, FL.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Glen Cemetery in Paxton with Rev. Harold Q. Bodeen officiating. Baier Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Heido was born August 23, 1911 at Kankakee, IL, the daughter of Leon W. and Mary Whiteside Healy. She married Harley Ford in 1929. He preceded her in death in 1983. In September of 1983 she married Ray Heido who also preceded her in death. She is survived by 1 daughter Joyce Bristle of Fremont, IN, 1 daughter-in-law Marilyn Ford of Paxton, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 son John (Jack) Ford, 2 daughters Florence Cheek and June Custer, 3 grandchildren and 1 brother Leon (Bus) Healy.

Mrs. Heido spent her early years in Watseka and Onarga attending schools at both locations. She worked 12 ½ years in Civil Service at Chanute Air Force Base, Rantoul. She moved from Paxton to Largo FL in 1983. She was a member of the Calvary Methodist Church, Largo, Prospect Chapter 367 O.E.S. of Paxton, NARFE of Largo and American Legion Auxiliary of Paxton.
