died- Mrs,. Lucy Hodson, wife of Henry Hodson, on Tuesday morning Jan. 3, 1893, from a lung fever.
Mrs. Lucy Hodson was born in Manea, Cambridgeshire England Sept. 12, 1834, where she was married to Mr. Hodson in 1853 coming immediately thereafter to the United States and settled first in Cleveland, Ohio. Living there six years each in Columbus and Delaware, Ohio.
They then moved to Rock Island, Illinois where they lived 13 years and then moved to Wayne Co., Nebraska where they have resided the past 8 years.
The family consisted of five boys and four girls all but one of whom survive her. One son dying in Rock Island at the age of 13. The deceased leaves to mourn her loss beside her husband and eight children three brothers, two of whom George and Samuel Barnes live in this country and one brother still in England. Also one sister, Mrs. Gotobed living in Milan, Illinois.
Her death occurred at 3:30 p.m. Jan. 3rd, 1893 from lung fever, having been sick just one week.
The funeral occurs today from the M.E. Church. Conducted by her pastor Rev. H. H. Millard. Her death will be mourned by her own family, the church and all who knew her.
