Clarence K. Adams, 80, Winter, died Saturday, Aug. 2, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire, WI.
He was born Feb. 24, 1917, in Custer Park, IL, son of George and Mary (Koca) Adams. He attended school in Wilmington, IL. He served in the US Army during WWII from 1941 to 1945 in the Engineer Detachment, USMA, West Point, NY. He was a trucker and lived in Wilmington, IL, until 1972, when he moved to Mercer, WI, where he was employed with Tri-State Homes. He retired to Winter in 1990. He was a member of the teamster union and enjoyed working on vehicles, walking, fishing, hunting, and snowmobiling.
Surviving are his wife, Rosemary; two daughters, Sharon (Daryl) Blish, Morris, IL and Jackie (Kevin) Petit of Ojibwa, WI; six grandchildren; one brother, Ralph (Gladys) of Wilmington, IL; one sister, Shirley (Raleigh) Tibbs Carlin, Florida; and several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Linda; one son, Richard.
