James Cecil Alvey of 208 W 27th St. died Monday (1/16/1978) at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital. He was born in Ohio County, was retired from General Electric and was a member of the Third Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Clara H Alvey; a son J C Alvey, Jr. of Owensboro; two granddaughters and two sisters, Beulah Huff of Owensboro and Thelma McElroy of Maceo. Services are 11am Wednesday at James H Davis Funeral Home. Burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation after 2pm. today.
