Funeral Services for A. L. Bynum Held Saturday (Nov. 6, 1959)


Funeral services for Andy L. Bynum, 92, were held Saturday, November 7, at 2 p. m. in the Littleville Baptist Church in Hamilton. Rev. Floyd Herring and Rev. John Wheat officiated. Burial was in the Littleville Cemetery with Evant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He passed away in his home in Littleville, Friday, Nov. 6.

Mr. Bynum was married to Miss Florida Prater and to this union eight children were born, four of whom preceded him in death. His wife also preceded him in death in Feb., 1926. In 1938, he was married to Mrs. Mattie Harvey and they made their home in Littleville, where they had many friends.

Mr. Bynum was a member of the Nazarene Church of Pearl. Surviviors include his wife; 4 daughters, Mrs. Minnie Terrell of Evant, Mrs. Lillie Atchley of Marble Falls, Mrs. Alice Coston of Albany; a step-daughter, Mrs. Lelia Mae Howard of Hamilton; one son, Clyde Bynum of Moran; 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were his grandsons: Vernon Terrell, Charles Coston, Bill Baker, Kenneth Kendall, Lonnell Roundtree, and Elmer Harris.
