Private funeral serices for Mrs. James Wesley Hanson, who died at her residence, 1390 Forsyth Street at 7 a.m. Monday after a lingering illness will be held in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary at 5 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Anthony Hearn and Dr. W. E. Denham will officate, burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Charles Wesley Dye, James Oliver Hodges, III, John Wesley Hanson, Enoch Victor Hanson, Sidney Hanson, Jr., Russell Reid Hanson, William Brown Hanson, Charles Eugene Kernaghan, Jr., James Fletcher Henson, Jr.
Mrs. Hansn, the former Mrs. Jennie Lee Crawley, was born at Orchard Hill, Ga., the daughter of Francis M. Crawley and Mrs. Nancy Caroline Cauthen Crawley, and had lived in Macon for 41 years, coming from Barnesville.
She was a member of Mulberry Street Methodist Church of the Women's Society for Christian Service of that church and was a active in the their affairs until her health failed. She was also a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy in Barnesville.
Surviving are her husband, J. W. Hanson, Macon; a daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Dye, Macon, two sons, Dr. James Fletcher Hanson and Albert Sidney Hanson of Macon; twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Sikes, Griffin and Mrs. Allie Chapman, Macon; a brother, Walter L. Crawley, Orchard Hill. She was also the mother of the late Wesley Leon Hanson and Mrs. James Oliver Hodges, Jr.
