DEATH: CHARLES M. "MEL" ANDRUS
Charles M. Andrus, 86, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 1994 in Ogden, Utah of causes incident to age.
He was born in Salt Lake City November 16, 1907, a son of Ernest Melvin Andrus and Eliza Jane Price. He married Bessie L. Norris on September 4, 1926 in Farmington, Utah. He had been a heating and air conditioning contractor and owned Valley Heating for 23 years. He was a member of the Granite Park Lions Club, Utah Cinema Arts, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was also an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.
He is survived by three children and their spouses, Edythe and Marvin Kleinknight of Bluffton, IN.; Robert (Bob) and Barbara Andrus of Beach, Calif.; and Vonda and Dell Stettler of Ogden; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Larsen of West Valley; and a brother, Ernest Andrus of Idaho Falls, Idaho; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Bessie; a son, Ernest Melvin (Mel), a granddaughter, Linda Kay Andrus and three sisters.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. at Lake Hills Memorial Park, 10055 South State, Sandy, Utah. Friends may call Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 7th South, SLC, and Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the services. Interment, Lake Hills Memorial Park.
