CANTON, IL - Dorothy Louise Brillhart, age 97, of 2081 N. Main St., Canton, Ill., formerly of Astoria, Ill., passed away at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 25, 2010, at the Heartland Health Care Center in Canton, Ill.
She was born May 10, 1913, in Woodland Township, Fulton Co., Ill., a daughter of Newton Bernard and Ethel Pearl (Gould) Derry. She married Galen Franklin Brillhart on Aug. 19, 1933, in Canton, Ill. He preceded her in death on Feb. 6, 1987.
She also was preceded in death by two daughters; one granddaughter; two sisters; and six brothers.
Dorothy is survived by one daughter, Harriet (and Bill) Lockard of Canton, Ill.; one son, Randall (and Jan) Brillhart of Waynesburg, Pa.; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Astoria Christian Church. Visitation will be on Friday, July 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, Ill.
Memorials may be made to the Astoria Christian Church.
