Ruth Ridgway Jones, 88, of Gaithersburg, Md., died Sunday, November 2, 2003. She was born May 30, 1915, to the late Cora Boone Ridgway who died February 5, 1958, and Walter Winston Ridgway who died August 21, 1968. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Duvahl R. Hull and Louise Freese. Mrs. Jones was a full time homemaker and mom and she worked as a volunteer for the Board of Elections in Shenectady, N.Y. for most of her life. She had been a resident of Schenectady since 1948, and moved to Gaithersburg, Md. in 2002. She graduated from Jefferson High School in Roanoke in 1934, and Roanoke College in 1938. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, William B. Jones (originally of Salem); and two sons, Walter W. Jones of Gaithersburg, Md. and Richard B. Jones of Westford, Mass.; five grandchildren; a brother, Walter W. Ridgway. Graveside services will be in Sherwood Memorial Park, 11 a.m. Thursday, November 6, 2003. The family will receive friends at Oakey's South Chapel 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel
