Born in Ismet (Nicomedia) - came to USA 1877 with a price on his head, having been a high ranking officer in the Armenian army, fighting the Turks. Descendants recall beautiful swords, which were sadly lost. Gregory studied at Mass. Agr. College in Amherst, Mass. He settled in Brooklyn & became a painter, writer & photoengraver. He married Victoria Iskiyan April 19,1890 (Bklyn. Cert.#1324). The couple moved to Floral Park, NY where he published a science fiction book in 1906. The book, "The Anglo-American Alliance", ahead of it's time, deals with Lesbianism in a non-judgmental way & includes musings on the future. A copy of this book is at the Amherst College Library.
