Lynnette Josephine Dale, age 95, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Thursday, July 29, 2010, at Village Manor Nursing Home in Ottawa, Kansas. She was born on Thursday, September 3, 1914, in Ottawa, Kansas, the daughter of Noah and Teaci (Sink) Barnhart.

She grew up in Centralia, Kansas, and was a near lifelong resident of Ottawa.
Lynnette graduated from Appanoose High School.

For many years, she was a caregiver at Crestview Nursing Home in Ottawa.

Lynnette was a member of Church of the Brethren, now known as Ottawa Community Church, in Ottawa, as well as many clubs and organizations. For ten years in the 1980's, she volunteered at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa, where she received an award honoring her for over 5,000 hours of service. She crocheted many baby afghans which were sold in the hospital gift shop.

On Wednesday, December 11, 1935, Lynnette was united in marriage with Louis C. Dale. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1968.

Daughter-Lynda Bushey and her husband, Allan of Beaverton, Oregon; Son-Robert Dale of Paola, Kansas; Sister-in-law Mrs. Albert Barnhart of Ottawa, Kansas and two Grandchildren and one Gt.Grandchild.

She is preceded in Husband-Louis C. Dale; Father-Noah Barnhart; Mother-Teacie (Sink) Barnhart and a Brother-Albert Barnhart.

SERVICES: Graveside Services will be held at Hope Cemetery in Ottawa at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, August 3, 2010.

Mrs. Dale will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 1:00 p.m. Monday to the service hour.

CEMETERY: Hope Cemetery in Ottawa, Kansas.
