Our Tribute to Ison.

On the morning of April 4th the Death Angel visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Tapley and bore to that eternal home the spirit of their dear little son, Ison. He only brightened their home for ten short years, but the earth, to us, will always seem purer and brighter for him having lived on it.
He wore a smile all the time and was loved by all with whom he came in contact. He was obedient to all and was very dear to the hearts of his school mates. Oh! how we shall miss his dear face in the home and school room, which always seemed to cheer the hearts so dear to him.
He leaves to mourn his death father, mother, three brothers, Olin, Church and Leonard, and four sisters, Atha, Enoree, Lula Mae and Lillie Belle, besides a host of relatives and friends.
His remains were laid to rest at Macedonia. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. A. C. Yeargan. The pall bearers were the school mates of Ison.
Weep not, dear ones, for we know Ison is at rest. Live to meet him in the Great Beyond, where Ison will meet all his school mates.

The grave has claimed his body,
And God has claimed his soul.
We are left to claim his memories,
And try to gain the goal.

His Schoolmates,

Pearl and Jimmie B.
