Arrived in Hawthorne about 1920 with her parents 34 years prior to her death. Died one day after being stricken by illness at the Hawthorne Hospital. Buried on December 29, 1954. She was a member of Mineral Temple of the Pythian Sisters Lodge in Hawthorne. Survived by her mother Mrs. Minnie Young of Hawthorne, sister Mrs. Dora Wilson and Betty Wilson.

Local Couple Marry in Mina
Justice of the Peace Guy L. Eckley, of Mina, put in a busy session over the week-end, with two marriages ranking in importance.
Saturday evening Miss LYDIA SCHEPERS, oldest daughter of Mrs. R. Young of Hawthorne, became the bride of Ora Denney, also of this town. Dorothy Shannon and Ralph Reed were witnesses. The newlyweds are well known in Hawthorne and will make their home here. Mr. Denney is employed at the naval depot.
